Microinsurance Network is recruiting a Knowledge Manager

Knowledge Manager

We are currently recruiting a Knowledge Manager whose core role will be to provide subject matter expertise on microinsurance to support the development of written content and event agendas. In addition to these core responsibilities, the successful candidate will represent the Network at external events as a speaker and maintain relationships with allocated members of the Network.

Key responsibilities and tasks

  • Publications: research, write, edit, proof-read and check Briefing Papers, Programmes and Publications; oversee graphic design, layout and printing
  • Events: coordinate assigned working groups, project manage and design the content of regional workshops in Emerging Asia and the global North and of our annual members’ meeting, prepare the content for event blurbs, agendas, advertisements, social media posts, etc.
  • Member coordination: take responsibility for building and maintaining relationships with Network members, maintain contact reports and records.
  • Represent the Network at regional and global events and deliver speaking opportunities during these events


  • Qualified microinsurance expert and/or demonstrable experience in the field
  • University graduate, preferably Master’s degree in a relevant subject
  • Proven writing skills
  • Experience in event management desirable (content and speaker management)
  • Experience of public speaking and facilitating events such as workshops
  • Proficient in English (level C, Common European Framework or mother tongue)
  • Proficient in French (level C, Common European Framework or mother tongue)
  • Spanish or Portuguese desirable
  • Experience in project management desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Excellent communicator both orally and written
  • Comfortable self-starting assigned projects
  • Hands-on, versatile and familiar working within a small, dynamic team
  • Confident and eager to engage with members, speakers, funders, and all stakeholders
  • Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, innovation, excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Permanent contract based in the city of Luxembourg.
