CONTEXT:
You share our values? You demonstrate at least 3 years’ experience of managing funding and/or development/emergency aid projects abroad or at NGO headquarter? Come and join our 20 collaborators Luxembourg Staff as Institutional Partnerships Officer. You will bring your expertise to Handicap International Luxembourg over a period à 12 months during the maternity leave of one of the member of the Institutional Partnership team. As one of the HI Luxemburg members of an Institutional Funding North Europe (IFNE) team you will also collaborate with colleagues based in Brussels.
YOUR OBJECTIVES:
The position fits into the co-management of humanitarian and development projects implemented with the HI Federation (FHI) and with the financial support of the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MAEE).
Main responsibilities:
• Donor relationships: you participate in the implementation of Handicap International
Luxembourg’s institutional partnership strategy & multi-year action plan for your donors’ portfolio and monitor its implementation. You are responsible for the management
of relations with the donors of your portfolio.
Compliance framework: you define, disseminate and control the application of standards as per donors’ requirements. Support the contract implementation: you support operations staffs in their funding strategy & in the implementation of Luxembourg funded contracts. You will be in direct contact with the field teams in charge of direct implementation of the projects. You will conduct field visits minimum 2 times a year.
Representation: Together with the General Director, you will support the discussion with donors and institutional partners & defend HI interests. For this, you will:
o Participate and represent HI at NGOs platforms (Cercle des ONGD, Humanitarian Aid group, etc.) on matters concerning funding and procedures
o Participate at meetings & events related to institutional funding and partnership by the donors
o Contribute to advocacy and influencing efforts toward donors
o Ensure proper contracting and contract amendments with donors and partners.
• Contribution to Handicap International Luxembourg’s overall strategy: as part of the association’s 3-year plan, you will be solicited to contribute to communication and private fundraising actions in Luxembourg.
PROFILE SOUGHT:
You demonstrate at least 4 years of higher education in a field relevant to the job, or equivalent experience
You are fluent in French, English (mandatory). Luxembourgish and German are an asset.
You demonstrate at least 3 years’ experience of managing funding and/or development/emergency aid projects abroad or at NGO headquarters
Autonomous and adaptable, you are used to working in matrix organization
You are recognized as rigorous and organized : you have the ability to prioritize and manage complex files
Networking and lobbying is something you enjoy: you have excellent interpersonal skills
You share and embody HI values: humanity, inclusion, commitment, integrity

Remuneration Package: includes a gross monthly salary, 13th month, restaurant vouchers 15€ face value.
