
Through its network of members, Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg Asbl (InFiNe.lu) works to ensure that Luxembourg is recognized – within the Grand Duchy and internationally – as a global center of excellence for financial inclusion. InFiNe.lu raises awareness of financial inclusion among its members and Luxembourg civil society, acting as a catalyst to deepen understanding and skills in the Luxembourg ecosystem. InFiNe.lu advocates the use of financial inclusion as a tool for reducing poverty and empowering the financially and economically excluded.
In order to implement its strategic plan, the organization is recruiting a Project Manager. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, with excellent organizational and administrative skills, notably for the European Microfinance Awards, and able to work autonomously within a small non-profit organization. Good communication and event organization skills are essential for this position.
The Project Manager will report to the Executive Director of InFiNe. He/she will assist the Executive Director in the activities of the InFiNe secretariat and in particular the organization of the European Microfinance Awards.
Main responsibilities: Operations:
Collaborate with the Executive Director in the coordination of day-to-day operations, including administration;
Participate in budgeting and monitoring expenses for InFiNe’s general activities;
Contribute to the organization and content of InFiNe’s member capacity-building workshops,
conferences and member representation;
Contribute to the drafting of activity and progress reports;
Provide administrative support for office management with the Executive Director and act as
interim Executive Director in case of absence. Communication and events: Organize, coordinate, and supervise the European Microfinance Awards (EMA) ceremony.
Communication and Events:
Organize, coordinate and supervise the European Microfinance Awards ceremony;
Update communication tools such as the website, social networks, newsletters, etc;
Participate in the drafting and content of publications on the inclusive finance sector;
Monitor news and events in the field of financial inclusion;
InFiNe activities: Participation in the logistical and administrative organization of activities: launch of invitations, Save the date, Knowledge Sharing Events with members and other networking events; Follow-up of scholarships;
Office management: ad hoc support on financial and administrative aspects, i.e., encoding of invoices, supplies, filing of e-mails, preparation of contracts for service providers;
At governance level: support in the preparation of documents and materials for boards of directors and the general meeting;
Required profile:
Experience as a project manager with good planning and budget management skills;
Experience in leading working groups and organizing workshops;
Ideally, you have a degree in finance/inclusive finance, economics, political
science/international relations;
Experience in a similar network, inclusive finance or sustainable finance will be considered an
asset;
At least five years’ experience in a similar position with good experience in administrative
management;
Experience with different stakeholders such as public-private sectors and civil society will be
considered an asset;
Experience in public speaking and event design, coordination and facilitation of events;
Ability to work independently and, above all, as part of a small team;
Fluency in spoken and written English and a good knowledge of French, excellent writing
skills in English and French, with other languages such as Spanish or Luxembourgish
considered an asset;
Excellent organizational skills and proficiency of MS Office;
Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, innovation, and attention to detail;
Permanent full-time position (CDI) based in Luxembourg with the possibility of teleworking;
